This Delicious Death

Two years after the Hollowing left some people dependent on human flesh, a synthetic substitute has allowed daily life to resume. Zoey, Celeste, Valeria and Jasmine plan to enjoy that fragile normality at a desert music festival before graduation. They arrive with drinks, supplies and enough Synflesh to keep their appetites under control. Then Valeria becomes violently feral, and other festivalgoers begin disappearing. The girls suspect somebody is deliberately targeting people like them, turning a weekend together into a struggle to stop a wider disaster. Beneath the noise and mounting danger, friendship and queer desire remain part of lives the outside world is increasingly willing to reduce to a monstrous appetite.
