The Wrong McElroy

Fiona Ng agrees to spend Christmas pretending to be her friend Michael’s girlfriend. His family gathering in Arkansas should be a manageable performance: play the part, survive the questions and help a friend through the holidays. Then Fiona meets Michael’s younger sister, Lizzie, and discovers an attraction that has no place in their carefully arranged story. Family expectations and the demands of their deception make every encounter more complicated. Fiona must navigate a household that believes she belongs with one McElroy while becoming increasingly interested in another. What began as a favor turns into an uncomfortable test of honesty, friendship and the risks of wanting something the original plan never allowed.
