Chef's Kiss · Book 1
The story
Simone Larkspur knows how to make an exacting recipe work. People, especially exuberant new kitchen manager Ray Lyton, are less predictable. At a cookbook publisher shifting its attention toward online video, Simone wants to protect the serious culinary work she loves. Ray’s knack for drawing an audience pushes them into a collaboration neither can neatly control. Professional friction gradually becomes attraction, complicated by the risks of being vulnerable at work. When Ray comes out as nonbinary and colleagues respond unevenly, Simone faces choices that reach beyond recipes and career ambitions. Their romance unfolds amid workplace change, conflicting temperaments and the effort to make room for each other.
