The Roommate Arrangement

Stephanie Renshaw wants a chance to establish herself as a comedian in Los Angeles, and a promising apartment could put her close to the clubs where she hopes to perform. Affording it requires a roommate. Rae Coleman, a former police officer now working at a comedy club, is hardly the easygoing companion Stephanie might have imagined. An injury ended Rae's LAPD career, and she keeps her vulnerabilities carefully guarded. Their early clashes slowly make room for friendship, though neither woman is confident about a lasting relationship. Stephanie has preferred casual encounters, while Rae remains wary of happiness. Sharing a home forces both to consider whether familiar defenses are keeping them safe or keeping them apart.
