Actress Danielle Stevens goes to Dallas to research a role by shadowing Detective Harper Jeremiah. The visit also provides distance from a stalker whose attention has become increasingly frightening. Harper, absorbed in her own investigation and uninterested in Hollywood, resents being assigned what looks like a distraction from real police work. That judgment changes when threats against Dani turn the research arrangement into a protection detail. As they share more of themselves, professional proximity becomes trust and attraction. Yet the person pursuing Dani is growing more relentless, forcing Harper to consider how far she can go to keep her safe.
