The Last Place You Look

Private investigator Roxane Weary is barely managing her grief after her father's death when a desperate client brings her a fifteen-year-old disappearance. Sarah Cook vanished on the night her parents were murdered; her boyfriend was convicted and is now approaching execution. His sister believes she has just seen Sarah alive. Roxane's search draws her toward an unresolved case from her father's police work and then toward the possibility of other missing girls. What first looks like a last attempt to delay a sentence becomes something much harder to dismiss. With her personal life already unsteady, Roxane keeps pushing into an investigation whose dangers are becoming increasingly immediate.
