Cosima Frank is struggling with the expectations attached to being the daughter of a Hollywood legend. After her mother's death, she retreats to the English inn where her parents fell in love, hoping a bucket list will give her some direction. Edie Whitelock, who has reasons of her own to avoid the past, refuses to let Cosima disappear into her room. Their prickly connection deepens when a storm keeps them indoors and an old guest book reveals clues to a romantic treasure hunt. Following it takes them beyond the village and across Europe. The journey offers distraction, but also asks what each woman actually wants from the life waiting beyond her grief.
