Carlisle
The story
Jules and Vivian Carlisle have reached a point where their feelings can no longer be treated as an incidental complication of work. Choosing a relationship, however, does not remove the pressures that surround it. Pregnancy, family interference and questions of trust bring practical demands to an already difficult transition. Vivian's established ways of managing her world do not necessarily provide answers for a shared life, and Jules must find her place within changes that affect them both. Continuing directly from Truth and Measure, this second Carlisle novel follows the work of turning desire into a relationship capable of surviving outside private moments. The women face decisions about vulnerability, commitment and how much each is prepared to let the other matter.
