The Duet

Lana Lynch and the Lady Kings are preparing to tour again after a long absence following the sudden death of Lana's partner. Cleo Palmer's band has been chosen as their support act, giving her a chance to perform alongside musicians she has admired for years. When Lana invites Cleo to join her in a nightly duet, their chemistry becomes part of the show and a complication beyond it. Differences in age and experience, along with the politics of their bands, make it difficult to know what can exist away from the stage. This rock-star romance explores a connection amplified by performance, asking whether the feelings sustained under the lights can find a place in ordinary life.
