The Demon Abraxas

Ana Khoury sees something disturbing on a San Francisco street: figures dressed in black carrying a body. Before she can finish calling for help, an attack plunges her into darkness. Sabel Young recognizes the danger when she learns Ana has been taken. Her place within an ancient order of witches comes with strict obligations, including a prohibition against involvement with demons, but she cannot abandon the woman who has long attracted her. Rescuing Ana means exposing the hidden life Sabel has kept apart from ordinary relationships. Getting her away from her captors appears to end the immediate threat. What has happened to Ana, however, may not be something either woman can leave behind so easily.
