Sweet Talk

Aarti Nair has fought for her place as a late-night television host, becoming the first woman of color to hold a prominent seat while keeping her sexuality private. Dr. Noa Hart, an ice cream scientist who lives openly, is not prepared for the effect their onscreen chemistry has on either the show or her own heart. A mishap with a nitrogen canister brings the two women into a professional partnership that soon becomes personal. Their different relationships to visibility create stakes beyond a successful segment. This romantic comedy follows a public figure and an unapologetically out scientist weighing desire against career pressure, self-protection and the cost of asking someone else to remain hidden.
