Sometimes We Fly

Maren McEvoy is a famous Australian newsreader facing changes she cannot manage through professional composure. Her marriage has ended, her teenage daughter is getting into serious trouble, and maintaining the public version of her life is becoming exhausting. A move brings her into conflict with Jacinta Fowler, whose motorcycle-tour business is threatened by the girl's behavior. Jac has good reason to be angry, but she also finds Maren unexpectedly compelling. Attraction offers no easy escape from the complications of celebrity, parenting and remaining closeted. Set in Sydney, this later-life romance follows two neighbors trying to decide whether an inconvenient connection deserves room in lives already demanding more than they can comfortably give.
