Sawmill Springs

Mandi Murphy leaves Houston policing after a disastrous drug operation, hoping Sawmill Springs will offer a quieter life. Kayla Dixon arrives for a similar change after a relationship falls apart, accepting work in the department run by her father. Their plans for a peaceful posting end almost immediately when a prominent resident is murdered. Assigned to investigate together, the women discover a professional rapport and an attraction Murphy does not trust. She has misunderstood Kayla’s history and believes pursuing her would be a mistake. The uncertainty grows alongside the case, making partnership difficult to separate from personal temptation. As another killing raises the stakes, both women must navigate the danger around them and the assumptions between them before the new lives they sought can become possible.
