Cade Elgin’s carefully managed life in the New York art world leaves little room for an unexpected inheritance, particularly one involving a struggling sex shop. Selena Mathis already has a connection to the business and a very different approach to life. Brought together as co-owners, they face a limited window in which to make the shop viable. Practical disagreements soon become tangled with attraction, unsettling Cade’s reserve and Selena’s own plans for keeping romance at a distance. Their shared project asks more of them than business cooperation. This contemporary romance follows two contrasting women as they learn to communicate, take emotional risks and consider what they might build together.
