Santa Olivia

Santa Olivia is a border town trapped inside a militarized buffer zone, where residents have little power over the forces controlling their lives. Loup Garron inherits unusual strength, speed and fearlessness from a father altered by government experimentation. Those abilities set her apart, but they also offer a way to respond to the injustices inflicted on her community. With help from other orphans, she adopts the identity of the town’s patron saint and begins acting against its oppressors. Discovery could cost her everything. Loup’s relationships, including her connection with Pilar, give personal weight to her resistance. This speculative adventure follows an outsider whose extraordinary gifts do not remove the need for solidarity, trust or a place to belong.
