Queerly Beloved

Amy is accustomed to making herself useful and keeping other people comfortable. After losing her job at a Christian bakery, she discovers an unexpected business opportunity in helping brides through their weddings. Her baking, crafting and practiced ability to anticipate everyone’s needs turn bridesmaid-for-hire work into a possible new career. Meeting Charley, an engineer newly arrived in Tulsa, also gives Amy a reason to think about what she wants for herself. Yet building a more open life proves difficult when pleasing others remains her strongest habit. Supported by a close queer community, she must navigate work, romance and the strain of trying to satisfy everyone while finally making space for her own desires.
