Night Owls and Summer Skies

Emma Lane hoped the summer might help repair her relationship with her mother. Instead, she is deposited at Camp Mapplewood, surrounded by trees, spiders and organized activities she has no desire to enjoy. Getting sent home seems like the most sensible plan, so Emma sets about making herself an inconvenient camper. Sleeping in and causing trouble should keep her focused on leaving. Vivian Black, an attractive camp counselor, complicates that strategy by drawing Emma’s attention in a much more welcome direction. Staying begins to offer possibilities that the wilderness itself never did. As their connection grows, Emma has to reconsider the summer she expected, the fears shaping her reactions, and whether escape is still what she really wants.
