Mark of the Maker

Wildwood Blackstone moves to Bannock with a practical ambition: turn an abandoned carriage house into a blacksmith shop and finally make a home of her own. The town has less practical plans for her. Strange events draw Wildwood back toward the magic she hoped to leave behind, and a call for help brings Shay Courtland into her life again. A friend from foster care and a long-remembered crush, Shay arrives with her dog Dexter and plenty of unfinished history. As the women investigate the disturbances around them, their hidden abilities become impossible to ignore. Building a new life now means confronting Bannock’s secrets, the dangers beyond the ordinary world, and the feelings neither woman has entirely left in the past.
