Learning Curves

Audrey Lind returns to Northshire University as a teacher, delighted to work alongside the professor who inspired both her academic ambitions and her first crush on a woman. Dr. Michelle Thompson is no longer the enthusiastic mentor Audrey remembers. Divorce and professional disappointment have left her guarded, and Audrey's arrival threatens an opportunity Michelle wanted for herself. Resentment would be simpler if Audrey were less generous, less capable and less attractive. As their shared interest in art brings them closer, the women try to keep age differences and workplace complications firmly in view. A night at the pottery wheel challenges that restraint, forcing them to consider what they risk by remaining safely apart.
