Late to the Party

Codi Teller is seventeen and waiting for adolescence to start looking like the life she imagined. Instead of parties and first kisses, most evenings mean Netflix in the basement with her best friends, Maritza and JaKory. An unexpected encounter changes that pattern when she sees popular classmate Ricky kissing another boy. Their shared confidence becomes a friendship, and Ricky introduces Codi to a summer of new people, late nights and a girl named Lydia. For once, experiences seem to be arriving faster than she can process them. But Codi keeps her changing social life from the friends who know her best, turning her new sense of possibility into a test of honesty and loyalty.
