It Happened One Semester

Hudson Greene is trying to establish herself on the tenure track at Coteau College when a memorable Pride encounter acquires an unexpected complication. Callie Shaw, the woman she spent the night with, is also the dean overseeing her professional world. Their attraction has not disappeared, but sharing a campus makes acting on it considerably less simple. Callie has another side to her university life, running an anonymous account that comments on the absurdities of academic culture. Professional responsibilities, institutional politics, and private feelings begin to overlap in uncomfortable ways. A relationship may be permitted, yet permission does not remove the risks of being watched or misunderstood. Hudson and Callie must consider what honesty and discretion mean when the person they want is woven into their working lives.
