If I Don't Ask

Lieutenant Colonel Rebecca Keane understands the demands of command and the importance of keeping her private life separate from her responsibilities. Her growing feelings for Captain Sabine Fleischer make that separation increasingly difficult. They serve in a military shaped by Don't Ask, Don't Tell, where acknowledging a relationship could place much more than their careers at risk. Rebecca must weigh her obligations as a commanding officer against an attraction she cannot easily dismiss. Revisiting the events of Ask, Tell from Rebecca's perspective, this companion novel explores the choices, restraint, and uncertainty behind a relationship formed under institutional scrutiny. Wanting Sabine is only the beginning; deciding what she can act on is another matter.
