I Feed Her to the Beast and the Beast Is Me

Laure Mesny has devoted herself to ballet, only to discover that relentless work cannot overcome every barrier placed before a young Black dancer in Paris. When another ballerina introduces her to a strange power beneath the city, Laure sees a chance to change the terms of her future. A bargain made in the catacombs gives her new leverage, but it also binds her to something far beyond the demands of her profession. Ambition, belonging and danger begin to overlap as she enters a circle of people shaped by similar choices. With bodies and loyalties under threat, Laure must consider what she has invited into her life and how much power can cost.
