Dead Flip

Cori, Maz and Sam were inseparable until Sam disappeared when they were twelve. Five years later, Cori and Maz have grown apart, carrying different explanations for the absence that changed their childhood. Then Sam returns looking exactly as he did when he vanished. His impossible reappearance forces the remaining friends back toward memories they have tried to manage separately, including the disturbing possibility that a pinball machine was involved. Cori is also protecting a private identity beneath her carefully maintained social position. As the mystery deepens, recovering an old friendship becomes entangled with understanding what happened to Sam—and whether whatever took him has really finished with them.
