House of Beth
2025
The story
Cassie leaves New York after a painful breakup with her girlfriend and a disturbing incident at work. Back in her New Jersey hometown, she reconnects with Eli, an old friend now raising two children alone. Their quick marriage seems to promise a different life, but moving into his wooded home also means living with the persistent presence of his late wife, Beth. Cassie's harm OCD makes her intrusive thoughts frightening enough before a voice begins sharing the house's secrets. As she struggles to inhabit the role of wife and stepmother, her relationship with a reserved neighbor adds another complication. The home she hoped would offer refuge may hold answers she cannot safely ignore.
