Heartstone & Saber

Elayna’s life is overturned when her village is attacked and her brother is taken into slavery. Rescue brings her into the company of warrior queen Cydell Ra Sadiin, whose world offers neither a simple return home nor an escape from conflict. As Elayna finds a place beside the queen, loyalty and attraction develop under the pressure of approaching war. Their struggle draws them toward Windsom Keep and the white witch whose heartstone is bound up with the dangers they face. The fantasy follows Elayna’s movement from displacement into a new allegiance, where protecting the people she loves requires decisions about power, trust and the cost of joining someone else’s fight.
