Happily Ever Island

College best friends Madison and Lanie agree to test a new Disney island resort where guests can spend a week living as favourite characters. Romantic Madison chooses Cinderella; practical Lanie arrives as Merida, expecting to support her friend rather than be swept away herself. The holiday disrupts those expectations. Lanie becomes involved with a Prince Charming whose offstage intentions are unclear, while Madison keeps crossing paths with Val, the distractingly attractive vacation coordinator. As their separate experiences pull them apart, the friends must distinguish the fantasies they brought to the island from what they actually want. The story combines Madison’s sapphic romance with Lanie’s different romantic adventure and the strain on their friendship.
