Gena/Finn

Gena and Finn meet online through their shared enthusiasm for the television series Up Below. Gena is eighteen, while Finn is twenty-two and already in a relationship; their different circumstances do not stop fandom from giving them a language of their own. Messages, posts and fan works turn an internet connection into an increasingly intimate friendship. As the boundaries of that friendship shift, both women face feelings that are harder to contain than a discussion about fictional characters. A crisis then changes the terms of their connection. Told through the forms of their online lives, the story follows the distance between what people share publicly, what they tell one another and what remains difficult to say.
