Alone

Celeste Thorne has agreed to spend four years in isolation as part of a psychological experiment. The reward is substantial, but after three years alone, the rules governing her carefully contained life have begun to feel increasingly difficult to bear. Then an injured hiker, Olivia Soldano, appears, bringing an unexpected human connection into a world designed to exclude it. Celeste's attraction to Olivia complicates more than the terms of the experiment. As their relationship develops, she must navigate the distance between what she wants to believe and what she can trust. An intimate romantic suspense story unfolds around isolation, desire, and the unsettling consequences of letting another person in.
