Flip the Script

Hana knows the conventions of Korean television romance well enough to recognize a manufactured relationship when she is offered one. Landing a starring role means agreeing to appear romantically involved with her male co-star, Bryan, whether or not his feelings stay within the contract. Then the production adds another actress to challenge Hana's character as the central love interest. Hana knows her new rival already, and competing with her on camera does nothing to prevent an attraction developing off it. The career opportunity Hana has worked for now depends on maintaining a public story that increasingly conflicts with her private life. Following the script is becoming the hardest part of the job.
