Every Step She Takes

Sadie Wells takes her injured sister's place on a walking tour in Portugal, hoping distance will interrupt the routines that have swallowed her life. On the flight, wine and turbulence prompt a confession to a stranger about feelings she has barely admitted to herself. Unfortunately, Mal is not a stranger she can simply leave at the airport: she is on the same tour, which Sadie discovers is specifically for queer women. Along the Camino de Santiago, Mal helps her explore experiences she missed while also carrying a loss of her own. What begins as practice grows harder to define, leaving both women to consider what might continue when the walking ends.
