Echo After Echo
2017
The story
Zara Evans arrives in New York with the role she has always wanted: the lead in a Greek tragedy at the Aurelia Theater. Working with celebrated director Leopold Henneman means surrendering her attention to the production, a bargain that initially seems easy to make. Then a death unsettles the company, and another follows. Zara cannot tell whether the theater is plagued by accidents, something more deliberate, or the kind of curse that belongs onstage. Meanwhile, assistant lighting director Eli Vasquez gives her a reason to look beyond rehearsals. As their attraction grows, Zara must navigate a demanding creative world where ambition, secrecy and love are increasingly difficult to keep apart.
