Deadly Kiss

Quinn Hogan has spent her life fearing vampires after the losses inflicted during the war. A compulsory blood-sample draft overturns her efforts to remain apart from them: she is matched to a vampire and sent away. Princess Velika Riskel has little interest in taking a mate while serving as warden of Northwest America. She intends to release Quinn, until meeting her changes that plan. Quinn's distrust and Velika's responsibilities make a relationship difficult from the outset, and a rival brings further danger. For Velika, protecting Quinn and earning her affection become intertwined goals; for Quinn, the future is far less certain than the match suggests.
