Crier’s War

Ayla has a clear purpose inside the sovereign’s household: avenge her family by killing his daughter. Lady Crier belongs to the Automae, beings created by humans who have since taken power over their makers. Raised to inherit her father’s authority, Crier is beginning to question both his rule and the political marriage planned for her. When Ayla’s path brings the two young women together, their growing connection disrupts the roles each believes the other should occupy. Beyond the palace, unrest is gathering strength. This opening volume of a fantasy duology combines rebellion and political intrigue with a romance that challenges the boundary between ruler and subject, human and Made.
