Casting Lacey

Television star Quinn Kincaid has guarded her privacy carefully, but coming out prompts her publicist to suggest a manufactured relationship. Fellow actress Lacey Matthews is recruited to play the girlfriend, giving Quinn someone to stand beside her while presenting a story the public can understand. Their private interactions are considerably less polished than the image they are meant to sell. The women clash as they learn to perform affection, until an accident, unwanted caregiving duties and a shared professional opportunity bring them closer together. Keeping the arrangement pretend becomes increasingly difficult. To understand what is happening between them, Quinn and Lacey must look past both their public roles and their first impressions.
