Black Blade Blues

Sarah Beauhall knows her way around a forge, a film set and a medieval re-enactment. Repairing a damaged sword should be another practical job, until a dwarf's interest in the weapon suggests that the stories surrounding it are more than performance. Suddenly, the distance between Sarah's working life and a world of dragons and supernatural conflict begins to disappear. Her relationship with Katie is part of the life she is trying to hold together while unfamiliar dangers demand her attention. Becoming involved in an ancient struggle was never her plan, but the sword places her at the centre of a fight she cannot treat as make-believe.
