Anne of Greenville

Anne arrives in Greenville with a passion for ABBA and enough artistic ambition to stage her own disco opera. Her new school proves less enthusiastic about her arrival, particularly when a performance draws the soccer team’s hostility. Friendship with Berry offers a place to land, while Gilly seems to embody everything Anne wants in a crush. Anne throws herself into romance with her usual intensity, risking the friendship already taking shape beside her. Mariko Tamaki’s contemporary reimagining of Anne of Green Gables follows a queer Japanese-American teenager navigating an unfamiliar town, creative self-expression and a love triangle that refuses to follow her preferred script.
