A Lake of Feathers and Moonbeams

The forest between two hostile kingdoms has many reputations, depending on who tells its story. For Katya, it is home: a place of magic shared with her partner Ivan, who promises to protect her from the dangers gathering outside. The arrival of a princess unsettles that security. Katya is drawn to the visitor, but desire brings questions about the life and loyalties she has taken for granted. Old grievances begin surfacing as others prepare to reclaim the princess or fight over her presence. Caught between competing accounts of the forest and its history, Katya must decide whom to believe and how much she is prepared to change for a different future.
