Windlass

Stevie loves her work with animals and the close circle she has found in Seal Cove. What she cannot quite have is the person already sharing her home: Angie, her friend and the woman she loves. Angie knows what it costs to take a risk. After a painful experience with telling the truth, she has made friendship her safest place, even when keeping that boundary means denying what she wants. When their other roommates leave, the distance they have maintained becomes harder to sustain. With their feelings increasingly difficult to ignore, both women must decide what love can ask of them—and what each has to face for herself.
