Where Shadows Meet

Long before Leyla's journey begins, a woman surrendered her wings for a goddess who chose power over their love. The consequences of that betrayal have lasted a thousand years. Now Leyla, crown princess of a vampire nation, leaves home after an attack to recover her captured best friend. Her search leads toward Nekros, the island of the dead, and toward a history whose dangers she does not fully understand. As her own body begins behaving unpredictably, the rescue grows increasingly entangled with an ancient struggle. Patrice Caldwell's sapphic fantasy brings love, loss and the hunger for power into a world still marked by war between humans, vampires and their creators.
