Whenever You're Ready

Three years after their friend Michal’s death, Nia and Jade still have not repaired the argument that drove them apart. Then a letter Michal left for Nia’s birthday sends them toward a journey the three once imagined together: a road trip exploring Southern Jewish history. Joined by Jade’s twin brother, Jonah, who was Michal’s boyfriend, they set out carrying grief, unfinished conversations, and years of complicated affection. For Nia, the trip also brings her close to the woman she has loved since adolescence. As familiar tensions return alongside memories of their friend, Nia and Jade have to consider whether the friendship they lost might make room for something new.
