Turn Back Time
2006
The story
Wynter Thompson has little space left between raising her child and meeting the demands of a surgical residency. Divorced and determined to manage, she tells herself that another relationship would only complicate a life already stretched thin. Pearce Rifkin also considers romance an obstacle, though for different reasons. Her ambitions are directed toward a prestigious medical career and the recognition she has long sought from her father. Sharing a passion for surgery does not make the women easy colleagues. Their priorities clash, and each initially seems to embody what the other cannot accommodate. Attraction disrupts that certainty. As work keeps bringing them together, Wynter and Pearce must ask whether the futures they have planned leave room for needs they have taught themselves to ignore.
