Truly Home

Ruth Miller grew up with a village looking out for her after her parents died. Now she wants to understand the people she lost and make choices beyond the familiar surroundings that help keep her anxiety at bay. Olivia Bell knows a very different kind of family life. Fiercely independent after a chaotic childhood, she is drawn back into responsibilities she would rather escape when her sister needs help caring for their father. Meeting each other offers Ruth and Olivia a welcome source of comfort, but their ideas of home pull in opposite directions. One longs to recover a family connection; the other wants distance from hers. Their growing relationship asks whether they can build a sense of belonging together.
