Trauma Alert

Dr. Ali Torveau has organized her life around the urgent work of keeping people alive. In the trauma unit, the consequences of loss are immediate, and emotional distance seems a sensible way to protect what she can control. Romance has never persuaded her to change that arrangement. Firefighter Beau Cross arrives in the emergency department and becomes an exception Ali did not prepare for.
