To the Moon and Back
2020
The story
Lauren Prescott wanted a life onstage, but unsuccessful auditions led her toward the practical demands of stage management instead. At the McAllister Theater, she knows how to keep a production moving. Celebrity Carly Daniel threatens that carefully maintained order. After damaging her film career, Carly sees theater as a route back to success, even if punctuality and discipline are not yet her strengths. Lauren finds her infuriating, distracting, and increasingly difficult to resist. Their attraction complicates a workplace already full of competing demands. When a cast member is sidelined, Lauren faces an unexpected opportunity to revisit her own abandoned ambition. Pursuing it could change the production, her sense of herself, and the delicate connection developing with Carly behind the scenes.
