This Crimson Ruin

Sergeant Nix Marr accepted a dangerous assignment when she agreed to protect her former partner, Kessandra, on a journey to the underwater city of Fall. Now a catastrophe has left them trapped beneath the sea in a place that seems almost deserted. The few infected inhabitants they encounter offer little explanation for the disappearance of everyone else. Searching the ruined city brings new questions and a threat that reaches into Nix’s mind. With water breaching the dome that protects Fall, time is running out. Nix and Kessandra must venture further into the city’s secrets while relying on a relationship already burdened by its past, in this sequel to This Gilded Abyss.
