The Queen of Ieflaria

Princess Esofi travels to Ieflaria expecting to marry the prince to whom she has long been promised. His death leaves that future impossible, but the kingdom still desperately needs the alliance her homeland can offer against its dragon problem. A replacement betrothal is proposed: Esofi will marry the prince’s younger sister, Adale. Adale has little enthusiasm for either the throne or the responsibilities suddenly placed before her. The two women must contend with conflicting expectations while deciding what they want from a partnership neither originally chose. Dragons create an urgent public crisis, but the relationship itself requires a different kind of courage. This opening Tales of Inthya romance combines royal obligation with the possibility of an unexpected future together.
