Not My Problem

Aideen has enough trouble in her own life without taking responsibility for anyone else's. Yet helping overachieving classmate Maebh escape an impossible workload launches an unexpected sideline: solving other students' problems through increasingly questionable schemes. The favours bring her new connections, particularly with talkative Kavi and the infuriatingly organised Maebh, whose appeal is becoming harder to dismiss. Being useful to other people also gives Aideen somewhere to direct her energy while avoiding difficulties at home. The arrangement cannot keep those parts of her life separate forever. This young-adult comedy follows a reluctant school fixer learning that resourcefulness can create friendships, but accepting help may be more difficult than devising another outrageous solution.
