Minotaur

Confined to Rock Point Girls’ Home, Thera has been taught to think of herself as someone beyond help. Alle’s friendship offers an exception, and Thera longs for it to become love. Beyond the home lies a labyrinth containing another woman branded monstrous: a captive said to be half woman, half bull, whose history is told through stories of violence and forbidden magic. Thera feels connected to her in ways she cannot comfortably explain. She decides that killing the creature might prove she is different and make her worthy of Alle. Escaping into the maze becomes a journey through the stories people tell about wickedness, beauty and redemption—and through the desire that has shaped her own dangerous plan.
