Lavender and Hemlock

Tansy’s days in the Oubliette follow a soothing pattern. She looks after Lady Aster and tends their secluded seaside cottage, with little reason to question the life she knows. Except that she cannot remember arriving there, or the last time she ventured away. Then Merit comes through a mysterious door. Wounded and raised as a Carrion Knight in service to the Unmaker, she brings a very different world into Tansy’s quiet home. Their growing attraction makes the cottage’s apparent perfection harder to accept. As Tansy begins asking what lies beyond its comforting routines, questions about the house become questions about her own identity. A tender connection between two young women unfolds inside a fantasy of missing memories, dangerous loyalties and a refuge whose welcome may conceal something darker.
